BT Openzone
When I discovered that the Internet access in my London hotel was "not currently working," I walked up the road to a Hilton that has
BT Openzone access. How pleasant it is to find a big company deploying wifi smoothly and sensibly. A £15 ($27) credit card payment got me 24 hours of hop-on, hop-off access. I'm logged in for the third time as I write this, and my access has been smooth and uninterrupted. My battery died mid-session the first time through, without my logging off or saving my login details out of email; Openzone remembered my computer on reboot and popped me back online without a fuss. I will also use my same login from Heathrow this afternoon, giving me convenient one-time-payment access for my entire trip. Score one for the big guys.
